The Shift

The Shift plays a lot on our most important ability. The ability to chose.

“But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.” (sic) NIV Luke 7.30

All types of shifts can take place in our lives and it comes down to choice. Each choice can lead to where God is trying to get you to go or keep you in control of where you want to go.

Sometimes others have the power to make a choice for you. If you really have no control, like Joseph when his brothers sold him into slavery, then let’s encourage each other to make the right choices when we can. Then I think we will all be able to say as Joseph did, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50.20

Then as Paul tells us we can “…in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” NASB 1 Thessalonians 5.18
