Innovation-Race

As the Cato Institute says, “It is no accident that a nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to justice for all protects property rights. Property is the foundation of every right we have, including the right to be free.”

This includes ownership of creations/innovations/writings. Those rights are being eroded and most people are unaware of it. The patent system is broken and falls in favor of the large corporations with money. They don’t want some new invention to disrupt their business. Yet, that is what has made America a place of freedom. As the Cato Institute says, liberty is tied to protection of property rights, please fight for them. Madison, the main author of the Constitution put it this way: “as a man is said to have a right to his property, he may be equally said to have a property in his rights.”
