Theirs is the Kingdom

Fresco’s have been around for 1,000’s of years. The most famous are the ones we know from the middle ages that painted religious scenes from the Bible. Theirs is the Kingdom documents this same painstaking process by Artist Christopher Holt inside the sanctuary of a small church in Asheville, NC.

The work is documented by Christopher Zaluski and it is breath taking. Not only because of the artistry, but because of the subject. It’s about what God can do in touching the lives of the downtrodden. Those that are most forgotten in society. The people that Jesus spent the most time with. Fresco’s were usually paid for by a rich benefactor. Nothing wrong with that, but now we have one that was paid for by a community to recognize that the church reaches out to those that have nothing to offer in return, regardless of what is in their pocket.
