I Will Fear No More
If I could only sing this Anthem from The Afters when I get anxious or depressed, it would help me in casting my cares upon the Lord. Here’s a verse from their song, “I Will Fear No More”:
“Every anxious thought that steal my breath, it’s a heavy weight upon my chest.
As I lie awake and wonder what the future will hold, help me remember that You’re in control.”
This refrain couldn’t be more needed than now as another Pastor, Jarrid Wilson, just took his own life last week, hours after doing a funeral for a Christian woman who had committed suicide. He also had a ministry, with his wife, to those who struggle with mental disabilities, being able to empathize with those who suffered as he has struggle with many of the same issues.
This is a serious problem that doesn’t just effect non-christian’s and it can’t be resolved with simple platitudes. God is calling for our love and grace, prayers and assistance to help our brothers and sisters not fall prey to these overwhelming feelings. May God Bless our efforts.
