Christ In You
We all don’t all have the same gifts, but we all do have one or more gifts. Paul makes that clear in 1 Corinthians 12. Then he presents the one thing we all have that is not a gift. God’s love. It surpasses all the gifts. Each one of us that has experienced God’s love, forgiveness and grace can by the power of the Holy Spirit express that love to others.
Andrea’s documentary follows different individuals that have the gift of healing. Not everyone gets healed. God works as he knows best, but these faithful servants are putting their gifts to use as God leads them. What struck me was their goal was not that everyone was healed, rather, it was that everyone experienced God’s presence and love. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians verse 2, “If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all off God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge , and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.”
The expression on the faces of those healed or not was telling. They wanted to know there is a God who cares for them and as one writer put it, “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” That’s our call. They will know we are Christians by our love. Happy loving!
