A Father's Legacy - Jason Mac

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,…” Romans 8.16, 17 NIV

Praise God for our legacy as Christians. I’m not so sure some of us would be excited about the legacy our Father’s have passed on, no matter how much we loved them. But, this is a legacy that we didn’t deserve and yet get the full benefits from for the rest of eternity.

Jason’s film brings us back to recognizing how much we need that love of a Father, so missing in many places today, and calls us to step up to do what we can. I know for me, not having a Father around was a huge hole in my life, but having my heavenly Father around, I can draw on my experiences with Him and share that perfect love with those around me.

And since it is June, we can also take time to thank all those “Fathers” who were there for us, whether our biological Father was or was not. Happy Father’s Day!
