Journey to Mount Sinai 2

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true” Acts 17.11 (NIV)

Journey to Mt. Sinai is Tim being a Berean after a crisis in faith. There’s plenty of proof for what we believe, but God wants us to keep cementing that faith. It comes in different ways in our lives. Answers to prayer. Achaelogical finds. New thoughts and arguments that bring home salient points of the gospel and truth of Christianity, or confirmation through the Holy Spirit inside of all these things and of our position as a child of God.

As a sales trainer and bible teacher, I met many who were great in both fields. The common theme I recognized was they were all life long learners. Always going further. Space is not really the final frontier, it’s the capacity for learning that we have inside the wonderful brain God has given us. To alter Oliver Wendell Holmes line, once we have allowed God to stretch our brain, it never goes back to its original shape. And as we yield to the Spirit, he takes what he has done in the brain and expands our hearts. Those frontiers are endless.
